Happy holidays! ‘Tis the season for giving, celebrating, and decorating. This is a joyous time of year, but it can also come with additional stress, particularly concerning finances.
Fortunately, you can make your mobile home merry and bright without hurting your wallet.
Whether you’re looking to transform your dwelling into the north pole or a more minimalist idea, you can try many decorating ideas to spruce up your mobile home on a budget. Below are some of our favorite tips for mobile home Christmas decorating tips.
It’s not the holiday season without gifts! A popular décor theme is gifts and packages. If you aren’t doing a tree this year or want the look of wrapped gifts once all the presents have been opened, consider adding faux presents to your décor. Wrapping your mobile home door is a great way to achieve the look of a gift without having packages all over your mobile home.
Whether you use your front, back, or an interior door, mobile home doors are the perfect shape for some wrapping paper or ribbon. Simply tape down the sides as you would a present and run a ribbon up the center of it. Top with a decorative bow to make the package complete. Any mobile home door will work for this style. All it takes is some creativity!
Many people also wrap their artwork for the holiday season to achieve. Using spare mobile home supplies is inexpensive if you don’t have wall art. For instance, furnace filters are the right size and light enough to hang easily. They are thin enough that no one will knock them off the wall. This is an extremely easy craft using spare supplies, which most people have sitting next to their mobile home furnace. If you don’t have spare filters, they are an affordable addition to your crafting supply list.
It doesn’t feel like Christmas without a tree, but buying one off the lot may be too expensive for your pocketbook. Not to mention, a tree takes up a lot of space! One solution that has become increasingly popular is hanging a tree. This trend is great for those looking to maximize space and save money. You can create a tree on your wall out of garlands. A wreath is also a festive way to incorporate fresh pine into your decor. You can hang your wreath on your front door or in your window. Consider adding small packages to your wreath to achieve that same great holiday tree theme but in a much more compact space.
Speaking of your windows, they offer a great decorating opportunity, including your skylight! For a fun, subtle effect, hang or attach stars and ornaments to the inside of your mobile home skylight. It will not only be a simple decoration, but the light will hit the shiny surfaces and cause colorful reflections around the room. You could also cover the skylight completely with a colored plastic wrap to add a red or green tint to the room. It will add a pleasant glow to any holiday party.
One thing is certain: no matter how old you are, it is never too late to decorate for the holidays! Decorating and crafting can be a fun bonding experience for everyone. It is a fantastic way to start traditions and make lasting memories. Making paper snowflakes, Christmas ornaments, or a gingerbread house can be a great way to spend time with the family and decorate your mobile home.
We hope these tips have helped you! From ours to yours, Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
