Braustin Homes Breaks Ground in Odessa

Press Release

City is Site of Virtual Manufactured Home Dealership’s Second Showroom

(ODESSA, TX – June 3, 2021) Braustin Homes, the nation’s first virtual manufactured home dealership, has broken ground on a hybrid dealership at 3079 E Hwy 80, Odessa, TX and will be open for business in July. Braustin Homes dealerships marry the virtual, online customer experience with a physical showroom, and strive to create value for the community in terms of job creation and home ownership. This is their second hybrid dealership in Texas.

“West Texas has been our second biggest market over the last four years behind our hometown of San Antonio,” said Alberto Piña, CEO of Braustin Homes. “All our sales there have been through our virtual platform, but customers tell us they’d like the opportunity to physically tour our homes. We want to give customers what they want, so we’re excited to announce Odessa is the home of our second hybrid dealership.”

Founded in 2017 by brothers, Alberto and Jason Piña, Braustin Homes’ mission is to help more families become homeowners. In November 2020, Braustin Homes raised a seed round investment of $1.875 million to support the manufactured housing company’s expansion of its innovative, high-tech dealerships.

Braustin Homes technology-driven model makes it easy for buyers to do everything online or over the phone. The hybrid showroom will allow buyers to safely tour models and connect virtually with a customer service representative to ask questions, customize options and more. In 2020, despite navigating through a global pandemic, Braustin Homes exceeded 2019 sales, helping more than 118 families purchase their own homes.

Like many Odessa residents who have seen the price of homes skyrocket, Lucia Armendariz’s family was looking for a home that would accommodate their needs and budget. Not accustomed to doing business over the phone and online, she was apprehensive in the beginning, “but Braustin Homes quickly eased our concerns and made themselves available to answer all our questions and guide us through the process of purchasing our first home,” she explained. “We purchased our home from them and haven’t regretted our decision to do business with them. They met our needs and our budget and then some.”

Braustin Homes provides a viable solution for affordable housing in a market that rises and falls with the oil industry. Manufactured homes cost 10-35% less per square foot or a third to half of what it could cost to build a similar house on-site, are energy efficient, and studies show they retain or appreciate in value. Braustin Homes will deliver and set up a customer’s home on the customer’s property or the client can purchase a land and home package deal. Braustin Homes offers many financing options to help buyers overcome obstacles that may have prevented home ownership in the past.

“We know there is an incredible need for affordable, quality housing in West Texas, and we welcome the opportunity to help more residents become homeowners. We invite people to visit us online or give us a call now, and we can’t wait to see them at our new Odessa hybrid dealership in July,” said Alberto Piña.
